Terrain Question for Grand Truumph

The new Grand Triumph rules say to use the normal Triumph rules except as may be listed on the Grand Triumph rules.

Under the deployment section on the first page it says to "1. Place terrain. "

Since there are 3 armies is there 1) 3 times the terrain, 2) do we place terrain normally for each command, or 3) simply roll once for terrain and just have a very open battlefield?
