April 20 Little Wars Con Campaign Game Notice

We'd like to invite anyone coming to the Little Wars Convention in the Chicago area the weekend of April 20, 2024 to participate in a Triumph! Campaign game organized around the the the year 1066 and the Norman Invasion and Conquest.

Plans are to run the campaign 2pm until 8pm on Saturday April 20, with the goal of everyone getting 4-5 games in.

We are still working out the details, but if you can come and can bring a 15mm Norman, Anglo-Danish, Dark Age Welsh, or Viking Triumph! army from that period I can guarantee a fun 1 day campaign experience. If you can indicate what armies you'd prefer to bring below that would be helpful. We do have a good number of loaner armies too.

It would be great to get 16 players bringing their own armies to Little Wars. Rod is running his Hastings game in the AM on Saturday.

I am planning to attend. I will bring a 15mm Anglo-Norman army. It allows for three stands of mounted Huscarls. They are rated as “Bad Horse” in the rules but should be useful, especially so because the army will also have one stand of Norman Knights.

In that case, I will be bringing a Norman Conquest army.

we were not successful in conducting the 15mm campaign

28mm Hastings was an outstanding success

there were several 15mm pickup games

Later Crusaders versus Turks full of Rum
