DS and I are finalizing the FT text, but we were wondering if we might want to include a number of small quotes from fantasy fiction (books, movies, whatever).
As an example, in the section for Hero vs. Hero (rules for dueling) we have the following quote:
So, anyone have any favorites? They have to be tight (short and cool). Bonus points for particularity; bonus points for obscurity (The Worm Ouroboros, for example); no gaming quotes (I do not care what some Warhammer 40K person said). No guarantees we're going to use any of it, but send 'em in. ERB, Robert E. Howard, Tolkein, Moorcock, Glen Cook, hit us. If there are famous authors (Tolkein, for example) we probably will only choose one quote per. We could fill the whole book with Tolkein quotes, but then we'd probably upset the lawyers who defend his oeuvre. And there are so many more authors out there.“Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!”: The Princess Bride
