Re: Meshwesh minor errors and typos
The Yuan lists have been infiltrated by Wade-Giles deviants. "Kan-t'ao-lu" should be Gantaolu and "Mengkuchun"* should be Menggu jun.
The latter phrase means "Mongol army", and the ethnic name is sometimes given its usual English form in otherwise pinyin contexts - e.g., Nei Mongol instead of Nei Menggu for Inner Mongolia - so I guess Mongol jun might be an alternative, but from googling a bit Menggu jun turns up less useless results.
* Actually, this isn't even proper W-G: should have been Meng-ku chün.

Similarly, the Later Ming list has "Chuang" for pinyin Zhuang.
The Early list has "Chingwei" guards, which seems to be bad W-G for pinyin Jingwei (which apparently means "Capital Guard").

Salutations !
Noted that the 'Roman Armenian' (245-428 AD) list has generals as 'Cataphracts or Elite Cavalry'. There do not, however, appear to be any Elite Cavalry included in the army list. Mayhaps the first component should say 'Cataphracts or Elite Cavalry, 1-3' ?

Re: Meshwesh minor errors and typos
Thanks, John. The first component in the database said "Cataphract or Elite Horse" -- I changed it to "Cataphract or Elite Cavalry". Should work now. (Well, should work as soon as the modified version is uploaded).

Another W-G infiltrator in the Xi Xia list: "Shen pi nu" in the final troop-type should be pinyin "Shenbi nu".
