I was wondering if there had been any thought about coming up with a specific name for the Fantasy version of Triumph! Maybe a name that might be helpful in bringing players over to historical gaming from fantasy gaming. (Recently attending the very successful Adepticon convention in Chicago with +5,000 attendees might be on my mind.)
I did come up with a suggestion: Triumph of Heroes.

I sort of like the sound of "Fantasy Triumph!" actually.

And your marketing rationale for liking Fantasy Triumph! is? Or you just like the sound.

It's clear what the rules set is about, that's for sure.Bill Hupp wrote:And your marketing rationale for liking Fantasy Triumph! is? Or you just like the sound.

We ain't deciding any name until we actually have a rules set to put under it.

FWIW the SAGA National tournament has been at Adepticon in Chicago the last 4 years or so. I think FoW has their Nationals there too.
Adepticon has an interesting history as a very successful independently run convention.

March 27-31st, 2019? Hm. Not impossible to make for me, but fairly difficult -- it is still in the middle of the semester.

Adepticon and Gencon really are the high end commercial cons. The vendors put a lot into booths and supporting their game systems. It’s overwhelming as a consumer wanspd ring the vendor halls and it builds consumer expectations.
If you could come to Apeditocn it would be great. GMs and vendors have to commit by October of 2018. Due to limited space this year was by invitation.

I like the sound, as said, but I can't imagine it'd be a particularly bad idea from a marketing perspective either: it makes clear the relation to the mother set while sounding like a meaningful name in its own right too.Bill Hupp wrote:And your marketing rationale for liking Fantasy Triumph! is?
