Re: Column flank attack clarification
Hello! Long time listener, first time caller. Hi Alan, glad to see you on the forum. As some of you know, I played a bunch of DBA several years ago; and now I'm finally transitioning to Triumph! We've been playing a lot of Classic games recently: Alexander, LA Persians, Later Hoplites, and Thracian...

Re: Camps
Hi Bill - Sorry for this long winded response. But I hope you'll indulge me as I pontificate on game design. ;) In addition to the historical aspects, I wanted to go into the game play aspects of the camp rules. This is something we should probably post someplace, since it's really a design note kin...

And we've been keen to remove things where we could in an attempt to keep the game as simple as possible. I s...

Re: How to measure command distance?
Jack, what if the guy on the far end of the group decides to separate and move individually? +1 pip right? That's right. When moving as a single stand, that stand must start within the command distance of the general or the move costs +1. When moving as a group, at least one stand that is moving as...

Re: How to measure command distance?
What does it mean for a group of stands to be in command distance? Is it that any part of the group is within command distance of any part of the general, even if some of the stands in the group are beyond command distance? The rules for determining line of sight for command are pretty clear, but I...

Re: Group move in difficult terrain : cost in CP ?
Just a note: I am reading the Jan 2018 version of the rules and 30.4 still talks about spending a CP per stand rather than per column. Is this intended? The intent is to count command points as if part of a column where appropriate. I'll modify the text to include something along the lines of "...a...
