Polyperchon (DS) defeated Olympias (Juan) 18-9 in a very close fought battle of two flank assaults and not much in between! It was almost like two separate engagements. Very exciting at the end!
Great game Juan!

(Ares Division) In a complete bloodbath, the Light of the Pharaoh showed through (Tristan), holding back the invasion of Antigoros (Rod). In a score of 22-21C, with some extremely lucky/timely/divinely inspired dice rolls, the Egyptians crushed the right flank, and ground away the center of the line, with a glorious charge by Ptolemy himself to seal the victory.

It was a great game!

Ares division: Thracians (Psybilliah) 6 vs 18 + Gen, Olympias (JuanP)
All the bad luck in the last games has changed this time. I managed to be poor on the pips, wild on the streets while for Mike it was the opposite. I could manage to move here and there while he slooooowly pushed my left flank.
My victory has been sponsored by my mounted troops:
The javelin cavalry stopped an early offensive on Mike's right flank, my general knight was pushing and hunting light foot on his left flank, and the elephant managed to not lose a single combat. That was a good thing because they would have been shattered...
Eventually, they trampled through some rabble and went directly towards the thracian general, who couldn't avoid the combat and was stuck for several turns.
The game was finished with a 6 vs 6 die roll, as his general had the flank taken by my pikemen and couldn't move back.
Thank you for the time, Mike!

Re: Wars of the Diadochi - TTS Mod League
Forget what I said in the previous post, my luck has really shined this time!
Ares division:
Eumenes (Marc) 0 vs 17 + Gen Olympias (JuanPe)
Olympias invaded Eumenes territory but was outmaneuvered. However, Eumenes' army was veeery low to react to Olympias' flank charge. The cavalry (including the general) fell at the early beginning, and the rest was history.
Marc rolled about... six 1's in nine throws.
His first five rolls were all 1's: Three turns having 1 pip (in an army with two elephants), and two combats were his JavCav was doubled by my JavCav, and then his JavCav general was doubled by my Knight General. Unbelievable. We had a nice chat, at least?

(Ares) Tristan defeats Juan in a battle of the Ptolemys. Juan tried a fast flank attack with his general destroying my elephant, but was repulsed by my general. Army leaderless, Juan wasn't able to consolidate his forces to do much less. Victory to the TRUE Pharaoh (me), 17G-7.

League Update: 4/28/2021
Both leagues will be ending on Monday May 10th (two months after the start).
As things stand right now the Ares League has 21 out of 28 games played. (75% completion rate)
The Hades League has 9 out of 21 games completed (43% completion rate)
Unfinished games will go down as losses for both players.
Stats are still here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
I know there are still 12 days left, but clearly there will be a lot of games not played. I wanted this first league attempt to be less formal, and fully understand players needing to get used to using Steam, TTS, the mod in general. I am happy that everyone played at least 1 game and I know we can do better next time!
We will be taking a more formal approach to the next event and will require more commitment from players. There is time and effort spent in running any event and there will be even more time an effort spent to make it more formal and professional so the expectation will be that players will make weekly efforts to play their games.
Thanks!
DS

Ares League:
Polyperchon defeated Kassandros 18G-6 last night in an interesting battle of maneuver and swirling mounted and Light Foot.
Thanks Jeff for the great game. And I really appreciate you working to get ALL of your games done (and finally pinning me down for the last one).
Will look forward to our next meeting!

Ares League
Victory to the Egyptians!! Score of 17-10. Thank you to Spencer for having a fun game.
A BIG thanks to Dave and Rod for helping me out as I learn the game, and a even bigger thanks to Mike for giving me the demo and getting me into the game/group. Looking forward to the next one, and even more to in person gaming (I guess I need to figure out an army to buy).
