10mm Lord of the Rings / Warhammer
Re: 10mm Lord of the Rings
Here comes my next army: Dwarves
These are planned for LotR but also for the "Old World" Warhammer-Setting.
The ballista needs to be finished and I have also planned to include some crossbows (2 units of archers) - just waiting for some STLs to be released...
...and yes: the complete army is coming out of a 3d-printer
Only the bear miniature is not printed. This will be used as Beorn for the "Battle of five armies" (planned for next year, but still a lot of things to do for this).

Awesome!
Re: 10mm Lord of the Rings / Warhammer
As most players in my group are easier to convince to a game within the Warhammer background I have started painting a second army from that universe: Bretonnia
As last time: 10mm resin printed minis.
Way to go but I hope you get a first idea...

Brettonians -- JavCav, Knights... Heavy Foot? (or Elite Foot?)
DK
Re: 10mm Lord of the Rings / Warhammer
Thanks!
Yes, I will rate them as Heavy Infantry - in the end it is only peasants with spears and big shields
Not sure with the light cavalry as they also have bows strung to their back...
...might also be rated as Horse Bow, but not decided yet.
Guess JavCav is fitting better.
I will also include some bases of Archers and "real" peasants as Horde.
Coming soon...

Could be mobile infantry archers?

Heavy Foot is perfect, then.
If they aren't firing the bows from their horses, they should probably be JavCav. And it looks like the bows on their backs are inside cloth bags in the way the English foot archers used them -- if so, they would have great trouble using them on horseback. You might rate them as JavCav with Deployment Dismounting as Archers.

Canonically they are huntsmen. They are supposed to serve a scouting/ harassing function for the Bretonnian army. They wouldn't have an endless supply of arrows or remounts, so they wouldn't be horsebow... they would be closer to Javelin Cavalry.
I don't know the fantasy Triumph! battle cards, but if it is possible to downgrade the fighting ability of Elite Cavalry, that would be pretty good as far as combat results go.
(Note: I stopped paying any attention to GW about a decade ago. All of this may have changed in a more recent edition of their rules... )

I am starting to think Bad Horse that can dismount to Skirmishers?
