15mm Spartans / Greek

Post by Tirpitz » Fri Apr 23, 2021 10:03 am

The start of my rebasing of my Greeks / Spartans, 5 x big base Spartan Elite Foot, general stand the dud with the black & white comb. They will get a game or two on Monday the 26th which we observe our ANZAC day and remember those who have fought for our country.

Cheers Rob

Really nice - good to see that there are still people out there which are continuing to build up armies with miniatures!!!
TTS is nice to get through these weird times but I am really looking forward to get minis back on the table and seeing armies like yours really inspires and motivates to do something new!
The large bases look absolutely stunning :D

Thanks guys for your kind comments

I did a bit of tidying up and gave the armour a wash to make it look a bit more bronze like. Slight change on how I do my bases, so more arid looking and pleased how they have come out. Refer to Roundie's post and have a look if you want to be inspired look at is armies !!, my basing is to match his, big bases rule. I will be rebasing some Thracians and these will be light infantry and have a similar number of Greeks to rebase as heavy spear, will post pictures as these are done.

Have rebased the Thracians and will use as light infantry, and first stand of Hoplites to go with the Spartans

3 more rebased Hoplites added to the Greeks, have enough figures to do probably another 2 or 3 more stands along with bow, slingers and cavalry. I'm trying to keep all the figures from the same maker, in this case Xytson.

Xyston makes really nice figures and you created something really really good.
I like the paintjob and the basing!!!
