My 1st Triumph army
My 1st Triumph army
Just finished my 1st 15mm army for Triumph and thought I'd post a couple pics. I like the end result although in my photos they don't look a little splodgy
It's a little different (as you can see)as I based it up on 28mm element bases, because I like the look of lots of figures on the table
It started out as a Pyrrhic pike army, but I've also added a couple of Thureophoroi (raider stands) so I can use it as a late Macedonian army.

Wow! That looks amazing! I love the look of the 15mm on 28mm stands. Your layout and painting makes it so dynamic. Really great job.

I agree, the 15mm on 80mm bases look fantastic, (especially the pike blocks).
We should make that the new standard

This army is impressive! The painting is excellent and the basing really complements this army, especially because of the big pike formations and elephants.
Also, the terrain matches well with the look of the army. Where did you get that green grass mat?

Re: My 1st Triumph army
Thanks guys, I'm lucky enough to have a biggish gaming room in my shed so table size isn't an issue for me (hence the big bases). Hopefully I'll finish my Syracusan army soon and post some pics of a game.
Texus
The mat is just one of my home made terrain boards. 6mm cork floor tiles glued onto 12mm plywood and then flocked it with static grass. I like the way dice roll on the cork
cheers
