Just got back from doing battle! So much fun! Jan and I got 5 games in although it could have been 7 or 8 but we had a lot of catching up to do so b-essed a lot but worth it. As I recall

Game 1. Korgyuro Koreans vs Medieval French
Game 2. Korgyuro Koreans vs Burgundians
Game 3. Seleucids vs Late Romans
Game 4. Early Russians vs Early Northern Barbarians
Game 5. Gasgans vs Illyrians

All but Game 4 were hotly contested. Triumph! was triumphant again! What a game!

Hopefully Jan and I will pull it off but we plan on meeting monthly at Huzzah on a Thursday. We will keep you posted as the scheduling happens. Come join us!

I'd say that was an accurate recounting of the matchups. I'll try and do some short AARs with pictures later.

Game 1. Korgyuro Koreans vs Medieval French: Koreans win 20-8 (? I think I got one archer and one elite foot off him)
Game 2. Korgyuro Koreans vs Burgundians: Koreans win again, 23-10.
Game 3. Seleucids vs Late Romans: Seleucids win 19-11, my closest effort in terms of points.
Game 4. Early Russians vs Early Northern Barbarians: Russians win in a blow-out, 18-0.
Game 5. Gasgans vs Illyrians: Gasgans win 19-9. It was pretty even back and forth, and Frank got one run of excellent dice, which combined with good positioning got him, I think, four elements in one turn.

It was so great to have some gaming time with Generalissimo Franko again, and to get several games of Triumph under our belts. A couple of rules questions came up that we handled to our satisfaction at the time, but if I can recall the details I will post them up in the appropriate section.

I'd love to join you, but I'm going to be in London instead. Viewing Assyrian wall carvings in the British Museum, perhaps, or at the London Museum examining the Roman-era dancer's leather G-string newly found in the Thames, or seeing Henry IV at the Globe Theatre, or taking the Jack the Ripper tour of Whitechapel...

If that is what you'd rather do, then fine. ;)
