Looks interesting. By the way, I think that the ground that you can see and walk over now has changed a little since the battle was fought. I can't remember where I read it, but I have a feeling that the ridge was flattened a bit when they built the abbey.

It has been changed and there is some evidence it's the wrong hill anyway
I am modelling the slope of a hill with "semi-secure" flanks if the Saxons setup approximately 2 deep, it is loosely based on some old maps I have, my own tour of the ground plus what I need to make the battle fit the general descriptions.

What are the dimensions of the board Rod and is it for 15mm or 28mm figures? It should look spectacular when finished.

When finished it will be 4ftX10ft.
Designed for 28mm on 80mm wide bases.
