Campaign Rules for TRIUMPH!

Post by David Kuijt » Fri Dec 23, 2016 4:15 pm

This morning I was looking over the campaign system DS and I have been using to run campaigns at the three big historical miniatures conventions for the last decade, and I think there's a very good chance we'll have it published (Print on Demand) by July 2017.

Current concept is:
  • One book describing the system, how to design your own campaigns, and giving one example campaign. 24 pages
  • three books of six historical campaigns each, with maps and all that cool stuff. Each book will probably end up being 30-36 pages.
I've got all of that written up right now (as a 97 page document); all I need to do is restructure it, and fix it up so the campaigns are stated at three levels: 12, 18, and 24 players. Right now the sizes are all "whatever we ran" size -- usually 16-24, although only 8 for the Tlatoani (Big Mouth) Aztec campaign.

Hey Hockey Boy
July is almost over!!!
How is that Campaign stuff coming??

You were not at Historicon SO obviously you were either playing Hockey, falling off your bike again, running around Maryland with your pants of backwards OR writing MORE cool stuff for the Greater Grand Triumph family....

And the Answer is?????..................

Campaign Rules are getting my attention; Book 1 is now mostly finished (all army lists and text done), and I'm working on the maps.

Here's the 16-faction map for the 7th campaign in Book 1: "Mandate of Heaven!" -- Warring States Chinese.
