Army List for Bronze Age Collapse Campaign

Post by Texus Maximus » Sun Apr 17, 2022 1:36 am

What armies are included in the Bronze Age Collapse campaign book? I am starting to build armies from that era and would like to see the list if possible so I can plan accordingly.

Lemme look.

Note that each campaign is built two ways -- one "large" campaign (16-24 armies) and one "small" campaign (8-12 armies). Because people playing in their basements will often have difficulty getting 20 people together.

The bigger version is as follows:
  • 2x Ramesside NKE (Lower and Upper Egypt)
  • 2x Later Mycenaean and Trojan War (Ilios and Knossos)
  • 1x Gasgans
  • 1x Bronze Age Zagros and Anatolian Highlanders (Zagros Tribes)
  • 1x Urnfield Culture North Europe (Phrygia)
  • 1x Later Nine Bows Libyan
  • 3x Sea Peoples (Alasia, Lukka, and Gaza)
  • 1x Early Hebrew (Moab)
  • 1x Midianites
  • 1x Early Aramaean (Aramaean Tribes)
  • 4x Syro-Canaanite) (Ugarit, Qadesh, Charchamesh, Megiddo)
  • 1x Middle Assyrian (Assur)
  • 3x Hittite Empire (Hattusas, Kultepe, Catalhoyuk)
Here's the map (draft version):

And some of the special rules for armies:
Wild Regions
The Zagros Tribes and Gasgans occupy Wild regions.
The Libyan Tribes, Shasu Bedouin, and Aramaean Tribes occupy Wild regions.
Shasu Bedouin and Aramaean Tribes ignore the “wild” penalties if they are invading each other.

Special and Naval Movement
Only the following powers have navies and may use naval movement:
  • Sea Peoples (Lukka, Alasia, Gaza)
  • Later Mycenaeans (Knossos, Ilios)
  • New Kingdom Egyptians (Lower Egypt, Upper Egypt)
  • Ugarit
Naval Movement allows a power to treat the Mediterranean as an open zone for movement purposes. Powers without naval movement may not use the Mediterranean zone as part of their movement.

Alliance
All Hittite armies start out as allies. This means they cannot invade each other initially and may move freely through each other’s territory, so long as they are allied.
All New Kingdom Egyptian armies start out as allies likewise. They are not allies to the Hittites, only allies with other New Kingdom Egyptian armies.
These alliances exist only for the first strategic turn. On the second turn and thereafter play is normal.

The 12-player version is
  • Egyptian
  • Later Mycenaean
  • Gasgan
  • Zagros Highlanders (see note)
  • Urnfield Culture (Phrygia) (see note)
  • Later Nine Bows Libyan
  • Sea Peoples
  • Midianites (Shasu Bedouin)
  • 2x Syro-Canaanite (Ugarit and Megiddo)
  • 2x Hittite (Hattusas and Kultepe)
  • Middle Assyrian (Assur)
Note: the above list is 13 armies; only use one of Zagros Highlanders or Phrygians.

Thanks again! I was looking for a reason to do a 15mm Urnfield Culture army and this has inspired me to start converting figures.
