Gentlemen,
Extending an invitation to read all about Parthians vs Seleucids in two refights of an adapted campaign battle originally staged a little more than 30 years ago.
The first engagement was played with ARMATI and employed double-size armies.
The second engagement used GRAND TRIUMPH! and employed one slightly-modified-in-size army.

Re: Parthians vs Seleucids
I read the report, very detailed analysis and worth the time. You mentioned the need to get used to Horse Bow not having ranged combat. This does take a while, but was a good design choice. I believe it is much better to build the effects of their archery and tactics into the close combat. As you said, it greatly speeds up play and is still a good representation of their role on the battlefield.

Re: Parthians vs Seleucids
Thanks for the reply and for taking the time, TM. Appreciate the compliment.
Yes, learning how to use Horse Bow correctly as well as 'get in the mindset or accept the philosophy of the rule designers' does take time and practice.
Nothing Parthian-related on the table or agenda at the moment or foreseeable future though.
Good gaming & health,
Chris
