Re: Little Wars Chicago
We had 13 new players try Triumph in the battle of Kadesh scenarios and about 14 during the evening Demos....
Good time and an excellent convention, really hoping to do this one again.

Re: Little Wars Chicago
That looks like a great convention, Rod!
Although I'm a little bitter -- those are much classier chairs than on the East Coast conventions in the last five years or more.

Dave,
Little Wars is several steps up from the east coast conventions facility wise....
And not more costly either, the parking is free, the hotel block rooms were $121 if you booked early (Westin 4-5 star hotel). Lot's of other options too if you want to stay offsite..
The chairs are padded!!!! and don't collapse.
The tables are multiple sizes, in decent shape. The main ones are 2.5' X 6', making a perfect 5 ' wide big table.
HMGS-Midwest does a great job too, very smoothly run from what saw.
The facility is not as large needed for the East Coast, but would really be nice if the guys out east could find such facility.

The Kadesh table looks great Rod. It would be a pleasure to play on and the gaming experience would be significantly enhanced. Kudos to you sir.
Cheers,

Re: Little Wars Chicago
A lot of interest in Ancients and Medievals in general. SAGA, C&C:A, DBA in addition to Triumph! We had as many people come by and talk to us about Triumph! At the demos as we did play. We tried what I think was a successful strategy of doing the demos on Friday and Saturday night picking up players from earlier games as they were wandering the tables on the look for interesting games or heading home. Many of the gamers are local.
