I was not sure where put this post, so this forum will do.
The creators of Triumph and some of the other contributors who have been here from the beginning would know Stephen Webb, from Sydney, Australia.
Very sadly, Steve unexpectedly passed away a couple of weeks ago.
Steve was for many years the DBA leader at the Sutherland Club in Sydney. He formerly organised the DBA competition at the clubs MOAB tournament, and organised many small tournaments as well. He was a great contributor to the fanaticus website.
Steve did not like DBA 3.0 and did not really play it. He was devoted to 2.2. I believe he was one of the play testers for 2.2+. When Triumph came out he embraced it and was trying to promote it in Sydney, unfortunately without much success. However, as well as being my regular DBA opponent for many years he did get me into Triumph. Sadly I wont have anyone to play with. If you look around this site you will see several posts by Steve
Steve was a brilliant ambassador for the hobby in general as well as great bloke, as we Aussies say. Tragically he leaves behind a young family. We had a memorial for him at the club last Friday which was well attended. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

I only knew Steve through his posts online, but terribly sad to hear about his passing.

Hi Robert,
Thanks for sharing this horrible new. I am very sorry for the loss of Steve. It is sad to lose a champion for our hobby as well as a supporter of Triumph - and your personal friend and opponent. Leaving behind a young family is a true tragedy as well.
Hopefully fond memories of the positive impact Steve had on so many people will help people handle all of this.
I appreciate all of Steve's support for DBA, DBA 2.2+ and Triumph. He will be missed.

Robert,
So sorry to hear about Steve. And sorry to hear that you lost your gaming friend, something we all fear.
Steve was one of the very positive people on line and his absence will be felt.
