Save army question

I know how to save games. Is there a way to save an army selection of options and then import that army into a game?

I think you can highlight a group of stands and save them as an object. Then when you start a new game, you have to load an object and select them. It should work, but would lose any special color highlighting if you used that.

You can always select your army and then save the game and use that as a basis. But you will not get any code upgrades if you use a saved game.
The code relies on knowledge gained from spawning the army, so things might break in interesting ways if you just add units from outside.
