Salutations, gentlefolk,

Am interested in getting together for Triumph battles - also other miniatures and boardgames. Am retired, carless. Will meet you almost anywhere you can get to and from by:
NJ Transit or PATH from Newark
NYC subway or bus, from PATH station
NJ Transit from Trenton or Camden, or SEPTA

You might want to check out Maplewood Hobby - www.maplewoodhobby.com - the historical miniature geezers gather on Thursday nights - 6 PM dinner at the ParkWood ('best diner in Essex County'), big game starts at 7

and the New York Military Affairs Symposium - nymas.org On February 3, Kelly DeVries will be talking about The Battle of Campaldino, 1289: The Battle that Made Dante, between the Guelphs and Ghibellines on 11 June 1289. The NYMAS meets at
The Soldiers', Sailors', Marines', Coast Guard and Airmens' Club
283 Lexington Avenue (between 36th and 37th Streets)
New York, NY 10016-3540
from 7:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.(often going to a nearby restaurant afterwards)

Admission is free, open to the general public (though if you show up regularly you may be encouraged to become a NYMAS member). They are a friendly bunch of people, given that most are men approaching geezerhood.

If you're in the NYC area, drop by if you can. If not, much interesting stuf is on their website, www.nymas.org
