This camp depicts the C-Group culture (2400 BC to 1500 BC) of southern Nubia, who were “farmers and semi-nomadic herders keeping large numbers of cattle in an area that is today too arid for such herding”. (General History of Africa, 1981). Another source describes their dwellings as circular, made of local materials, and featuring stone floors. The hut is from Croms Anvil with a peaked thatched roof added. The design is based on traditional huts still seen in Sudan today.
