15mm Bronze Age Zagros Highlanders Camp

Post by Texus Maximus » Sun Jul 28, 2019 3:52 pm

”Gutium, the fanged (?) snake of the mountains, who acted with violence against the gods, who carried off the kingship of Sumer to foreign lands, who filled Sumer with wickedness, who took away spouses from the married and took away children from parents, who made wickedness and violence normal in the land.”

So here we have a Zagros Highlander throwing a blue-eyed Sumerian idol into a well, while others take away prisoners.

The original camp, in the previous posts, was a combination of what little is known about Lullubi and early Gutian culture. My concept for the Lullubi army changed when I learned of recent (published 2019) archaeology of a Lullubi city that showed them to be more urbanized and literate than depicted by their neighbors.

The existing camp will be modified and repurposed into a Gutian camp, mainly by replacing the obviously Lullubi figures with Gutians in flat caps and hide kilts.

This new "Bronze Age Zagros and Anatolian Highlander" camp depicts a mountain trail leading to the edge of a simple stone fortification, guarded by Lullubi tribesmen.

Figures by Eureka. The walls are the leftover pieces of some Baueda fortifications that I cut down for my Sumerian city gate. The base is carved insulation "blue board" along with sand and rocks from the driveway. The trees and vegetation are from a variety of sources, the most noteworthy being some excellent pieces from "Tajima 1".
