Oasis

Post by Texus Maximus » Fri Apr 12, 2019 1:56 am

This oasis is designed around a piece by Foxhole Terrain that was painted olive green then had blue paint applied with a wet sponge. The palm trees are from Hobby Lobby and also China. They were glued/pinned to wooden disks in groups. The bases were done just like the dunes in the background - coarse texture gel, then dry brushed brown, light brown, and cream. Also some “arid” static grass from Gale Force 9. The “dry terrain” mat is felt ordered from Prairie Woolens. I think the color was called haybale or something like that.

My 15mm Midianite army and camp are in the background.

The oasis piece is almost too big, so I plan to order a smaller one from Croms Anvil. They have some great terrain pieces and accessories that will work well for historical games.

Very nice. Our group likes that hay bale color too.
