Hi there,
this is my first ever forum entry, so please excuse if something is not by the book. My name is Korbi, I was introduced to DBA by Menic in 2010 (http://menix-miniatures.blogspot.com/ - check out his miniatures, you have never seen such beauty!). Maerk pulled me from the 2.2 to the 2.2+ and finally to the beautiful Triumph! ruleset and, what can I say, it was every time even more fun! Now I have finished my very first Triumph! army. It is the Early Egyptians 15mm; the miniatures are from Essex. My wife works in Egypt regularly, she gave me the idea to painting my first ancients army. I played them once, it felt surprisingly good. With the rather cheap Bow Levy, I can put a lot of elements on the board, it looks like one long battle line from one edge of the board to the other.

Yes, without the „h“ it’s a cheese. Roque was years ago the first name of a handsome but otherwise useless football player, and I was then looking for an online roleplay name for a burglar, seemed to fit.
Are there fotos of your Egyptians?
I learned that the Anubis from my camp is historically not correct, he belongs to a later era. It should rather be one of the old, angry gods like Terry Pratchett describes them in „Pyramids“. But there were no miniatures on the internet. I just learned how to build palms from brown wire and green paper leaves and will add some.
The litter I always wanted to build, so I did although it is no longer mandatory . The first part is detachable and can be used as regular heavy footers at the infight.
And, while I am still excited to be here and typing way too much sorryforthat, I am very happy to get my first reply from you, David! When I started to play and lost and lost, I screened the Fanaticus forum for tips and tricks and read many of your posts: „when the visor goes down and the lance lowers, the blood begins to boil and the brain evaporates“. So true, happens to me every time: Next Monday Maerk brings his Hussites to play my Medieval German Princes. I will maybe not win, but by God, I will charge!
