Sallet and white harness is more like 1450, not 1380, Rod. You'll have to throw them away.

My Hungarians are fashion trend setters

Re: Hungarians for Historicon
Good color. How many coats with that craft paint?
Re: Hungarians for Historicon
Thanks guys....
I use a lot of Ceramcoat and also a mix of Reaper, Vallejo, GW...
The reds and browns from Ceramcoat are pretty good pigment wise. I usually use black and for the red I built up several coats (three or four wet) and even blended several shades. Then I always paint the devices on in black first after that, for this one I used light ivory and some white on top for the "white"...
I figure these guys I can field as the "Black Army" at least that is the plan. Since as David points out they are really 1450s. I would like to be able to field a GT sized Late Hungarian force, so this will be the start.
All my other medieval stuff is chainmail so 1240-1300s, the plate covered horses were fun.

Rod,
They look great. I bought a Hungarian army to fight the eventual T&R Hussites to give the Germans a break. They are a bit later like yours. I can send you some pics.
DK, it is almost a full time subject for study in and of itself to track changes in medieval clothing styles and armor. Nobody cares about it in the same way that we do as gamers. It has been the main thing I have been spending time on trying to understand the Thistle & Rose figure line. (I have had to call a halt to acquring source books.)
Rod, you can just add a 'true' 1380 (or whatever the game year is) army when you get to it.

True, very true. Except Medieval Reenactment dudes, who care even more -- they argue about decades, not just half-centuries! And I did that for 30 years, so I come by my pickiness from both directions.Bill Hupp wrote: DK, it is almost a full time subject for study in and of itself to track changes in medieval clothing styles and armor. Well, they are based and getting the final touches....
Along with the last two stands of Indian Bad Horse I needed for the GT sized Classical Indians.
