New Archaeological Find: Ancient British shield, 300BC ish

Post by David Kuijt » Fri May 24, 2019 2:32 am

Hi all,

Some really interesting stuff here -- a dig at the University of Leicester has discovered and reconstructed a shield from between 395 BC and 255 BC. The only one of its kind ever found in Europe.

Called the Enderby Shield.

Very cool to be able to learn about specific colors and shield patterns.
