Alone Against Rome - some Campaign ideas and thoughts

Post by HoaryCenturion » Sun Sep 17, 2023 7:46 pm

Gentlemen,

On this rainy Sunday afternoon (at least in this location and time zone), I present for your reading engagement (or not), the first of a planned three-part project.

It seemed that this first part fit best in this forum. Parts 2 and 3, when finished, will be placed (notification made) in the battle reports/AAR forum.

Here is the link: https://nopaintingrequired.blogspot.com ... 20Part%201

Thanks for taking the time to drop by. Feel free to leave a comment, remark, or question if you like (or not).

That looks interesting Chris. I’ll be looking in.

Goldsworthy has that new book on the Sassanid-Roman Wars - 800 pages!

Thanks for the info on the professor's new book. He is a prolific writer, is he not?

I enjoyed others by him, so may be looking out for this newest effort.

Unlike the academic's work, I was not able to finish the intended campaign, even though the combined reports would have come in very much under 800 pages.

Good gaming -
Chris
