Lurkio Miniatures

Post by Kontos » Tue Apr 23, 2019 5:49 pm

Without giving away my army for the tournament, I received my Lurkio figures yesterday. This is my first Lurkio buy. Here are my impressions:

The Good -
Very nice sculpts! I mean very nice - detailed, clean and look highly paintable.
True 15mm that look like they will scale up nicely with Essex, most Khurasan (depending on sculptor) and others.
Break at the waist on the mounted allows for a variety of poses.
Separate shields to add even more variety - positioning or simply shielded or not.

The "bad" -
Break at the waist is more work. Not a problem for most but I am not a modeler and have issues gluing 2 pieces of anything together.
No spears provided.
All hands, ala OG, must be drilled.

Extra work aside, which I really didn't mind, kudos to Lurkio for excellent figures. Personally a 4.5/5.0 in my opinion. Hope this helped!

...i bought the Moors from Lurkio. A lot of the mounted figures are sculpted half & half. But so you have much more variants.
Missing spears ore pikes you can replace by wire. There are supliers offering Spiers for 15mm miniatures. For excemple: https://shop.ancient-modern.co.uk/equipment-123-c.asp ...
