Serbian Empire 14th Century Figs?

Post by David Kuijt » Tue Jan 16, 2018 3:21 pm

I'm looking for figure ranges to support a Stephen Dushan "Serbian Empire" army, circa 1330-1355. Essex has a good range to support the Serbian knights, but only two codes (one bowmen and one spearmen) for foot, which doesn't cut it. I need good figs for the Voynuks (spear or long-handled axe), bow levy (which could be mixed with the Essex code), archers (similar to the bow levy but with some armor and possibly shields), krayishnici (light foot -- probably using the Essex spearmen code, but it's very static which isn't so good for light foot), and possibly horde.

I've checked Essex (mentioned above), Khurasan (nothing), Eureka (nothing), Irregular (close to nothing), Xyston/Corvus Belli (who don't get into Medievals), Old Glory (nothing).

Isn't there a new Polish figure manufacturer?

Any other suggestions for manufacturers I'm overlooking?

David,
I am not sure if there are any figures in their line that match what you need, but you might check out Donnington New Era line.

Mostly western European, but they have pics on their site you might see something different at least. The New Era line is pretty good and works with Essex (IMO).

They've got some nice Plancon-wielders, but I didn't see anything that would work for Serbian Empire infantry figs.

Well they are really intended to be Western European, except their Rus.

But a figure line probably that is under advertised here in the US.
