Greetings,
Does anyone know which other 15mm manufacturers have figures of comparable size to Forged in Battle 15mm?
Thanks,
Mark Burton

Hey Mark,
I've never even seen these puppies before. Are they a new manufacturer?

I believe that they are relatively new to 15mm. They have a varied range in the Alexander/Roman and enemies period.

Salutations, gentlefolk !
Had seen the Forged in Battle figures in 'army packs' at Maplewood Hobby. Saw them at Cold Wars and decided to check them out. Picked up a package of 'WE-GE4 German Warband #2, Javelin/Shield incld Command' from Hobby Bunker. Just took some out of package, compared them to Old Glory 'GR2 - German Warriors'. My arrogant opinion:
Price - Old Glory 24 figures / $10, FiB 25 / $15 (says 24 on package, had 25 inside)
Casting quality - FiB good, little flash or sprue, no 'mold mismatch'
Sculpting - FiB, IMO, does not have as much detail or 'character' as OG, let alone Essex
Size - FiB seems a bit smaller than OG - maybe a half-millimeter on average. Will probably mix them
At some point in future, may take sidebyside photos in daylight - FiB, OG, Essex - post them up. (Am up in weehours with stomach bug. Not happy)
Old Glory will sell you figures, same quality for less money, Essex much better quality, not much more money.
The only FiB's I'd be likely to buy in future is their 'Classical Greek Civilians' - no one else makes them.
My $0.02, John

Salutations, gentlefolk !
Painted Old Glory Early German warriors along Forged in Battle figures in bare metal.
This is the last *%^&*%&^* time I try to photograph figures not attached to bases or 'dop sticks'
Hints on photographing 'shiny bare metal figures' welcome
Dyspeptically yours, John

Salutations, gentlefolk !
OK, FiB, OldGlory (OG), and Essex figures, painted, not flocked, one manufacturer (largely) per stand.
