They were easy to prepare; nice clean castings. The only conversion I made was to straighten up the David figure. The figure is posed leaning back at the waist, which I believe is to show he is fighting a taller opponent. I just held the figure by the legs and pushed it on the desk edge to bring him fully upright. The David figure is actually 17mm tall from bottom of foot to eye but I think it looks good once painted and based.
They are mounted on 40mm wide bases so they can be used as regular troops (Elite Foot and Skirmisher) in the game.
Goliath is also posed here with some Old Glory Philistines surounding him so you can see his relative size.
The old Venexia ranges are out of production for now but there is hope they will be available in the future from Thistle and Rose.
