Does anyone have a count of how frequently each troop type is used in the army list?

Yup.
Here's a screenshot of some of the metadata for your amusement.

Note that you have to read this data carefully -- Skirmisher is not the most common stand type. Every single line where skirmisher appears, goes into the count. Many armies have multiple such lines. Plus lines that are "Archer or Skirmisher" get read for both stats.
