Overlapping Confusion Question

In a solo game between Early Warring States Chinese and Parthians, I'm confused on who is overlapping who in the close combat pictured.

The end stand of Chinese Light Spear, which is bow supported, is defending a frontal contact by a Parthian Cataphract stand. A Parthian Horse Archer stand flanks the Cataphract stand and is overlapping the front Chinese Light Spear stand.

To the rear of the front Chinese Light Spear is another Light Spear stand which is being attacked in the flank by Parthian Horse Archer stand.

My question is who gets penalized -1 for being overlapped? Thanks for any clarification.

I think we covered this on the FB page, but it is one -1 per overlapped side. So that light spear fighting the cataphract gets a -1.
