Re: Defending against Horse Bow
Horsebow are awesome, but they have weaknesses too. Bow Levy are very effective defensively against them. They do not do well when shot at from range either. Slower moving infantry want to get them in ZOC to take away their speed advantage. Also, remember Panic destroys them if they run into anythin...

Re: Cannae Impetuous Heavy Foot?
We use special battle card rules for certain scenarios, like the one I use in Hastings to make it harder to pull the Saxon close order foot back up the hill, or the archer rule I use for Hattin. Actually we have this Battle Card you are describing for fantasy Triumph, which makes stands follow up th...

Re: Jav Cav Mind Flip
Another thing people get confused over it the tactical vs. the Strategic levels of movement. Classic example in some systems LH (representing Mongols for example) can move up to 6 or 7 times in a single turn causing them to seemingly teleport across the battlefield. In Triumph there are no magic hor...

Re: Jav Cav Mind Flip
There are a lot of differences between systems you might be familiar with and Triumph. For example in some systems all light horse and any low quality cavalry were lumped into one pile. Mongols, Numidians, and Vikings on stolen horses might be treated the same. Same with Chariots and Battle Taxis be...

Re: 15vs20mm depth for formed foot
Bill that is exactly the point on Pursuit. The warriors failing to catch the light foot puts them at a disadvantage in this situation, if you make them 20mm bases it changes the situation and they do catch them, putting the light foot at a disadvantage potentially. The problem with everything fallin...
