Is, BTW, Chariots the appropriate classification for Sumerian battle-carts? The troop definitions suggest that javelin-chucking chariots should be Battle Taxis.
(I'm incidentally somewhat puzzled that javelins should make you BT but a lance make you Ch: Surely the latter is even more short-ranged.)

Re: Khurasan 15mm West Sudanese Range
The only DBX list for the region between Kanem-Bornu and Nubia is the DBR list for "Funj Empire" (also known as the Sultanate of Sennar). Right, that starts at 1502, outside the Triumph timeframe. (Date based on Wikipedia -- no idea what the DBR list looks like, as I don't have that) FWIW, the DBR ...

Re: Khurasan 15mm West Sudanese Range
IIRC, Kanem/Bornu is where the Cataphracts are used I'm not sure about the Triumph! time-frame, but in latter times "cataphracts" were used across the entire central and eastern Sahel from Sokoto to Ethiopia. The DBMM list notes for "Western Sudanese" suggest it covers the entire Sahel, but in this...

Thanks for the reply.
For the climate type, might "Riverine" be an option?

Optional general's type again
I was looking at the Melukhkhan and Pre-Vedic Indian list, which "General's Troop Type: Light Spear", "Spearmen: Light Spear or Heavy Foot: 1-8", and no other troops that can be Light Spear. Do I understand correctly that this means that if I take at least one element of spearmen as Light Spear, the...

Re: Meshwesh minor errors and typos
Scots Isles and Highlands have two allied contingents designated as "Orkney or Manx Vikings". Given their contents and the lists they're drawn from I imagine the first should be "Orkney Vikings" and the second "Manx Vikings".

The Early Medes list has "Mannian" allies. Those should be Mannaian.

I get this terrible impulse to do an army of Orcadian Orcs.David Kuijt wrote: It is true that Orcs are widely known for their poor nautical ability. Perhaps all of them have just gotten off a small fishing trawler in the North Sea (or Orcish equivalent).
