Re: 15mm Amorites
I prime all miniatures black then a dry brush of white, going top to bottom. I make sure it is crudely done and uneven on the shields, so that some parts are still white and others black. Next is a single thin coat of “Moccasin Brown” craft paint. This makes the shields an uneven brown. Then I use s...

15mm Ishtar Gate of Babylon
Hammurabi is famous as a lawmaker, but he was also a competent military leader that established the first Babylonian Empire. Most biographical summaries of Hammurabi mention that he rebuilt and expanded the walls of Babylon. Here we see Hammurabi himself at the Ishtar Gate, a rather crude constructi...

Re: 15mm Amorites
These six stands of “Raiders” are the main infantry force for the First Dynasty of Babylon, which is covered by the Later Amorite list. These represent the warriors that Hammurabi used to turn Babylon into a true military power and establish Babylonia as an empire. The warriors have simple wrap-arou...

Those look great! I like the bases and choice of colors for the troops.

Re: The Akkadian Invasion of Dilmun, 2300 B.C.
Thanks Rod! We switched sides and played again. I commanded the forces of Dilmun and my son commanded the Akkadians. Setting Up the Game The Akkadians were again the invaders and had the tactical advantage. Dilmun had a choice of Arable or Dry terrain and chose Dry. There were four patches of rough ...

The Akkadian Invasion of Dilmun, 2300 B.C.
My son and I played Triumph! this week using the armies from the Dilmun, Yemeni Kingdoms, and Early Magan and Akkadian lists. The army of Dilmun has one Bad Horse General, three Bad Horse (Light Camelry), four Raiders, one Skirmisher, and eight Rabble. They also had the Pack Trains battle card. My s...

Re: 15mm Harappan Army
Thanks for all the positive feedback. Now that I am retired for the second time I hope to keep producing more content that supports Triumph! As for the pictures, the trick is to buy a light box. They are fairly cheap for a simple one. I think mine was $35. Set it up, line up the miniatures, and take...

Re: 15mm Harappan Army
"I recall earlier you were showing some elements using the Khurasan pre-Vedic range with shortened spears. Wondering if you gave up on them, perhaps because they were shieldless?" I thought about using the Khurasan spearmen and fielding these elements as Light Spear with three figures to a base. The...

Re: 15mm Harappan Army
No more Indian armies planned at this time. Since you brought it up, I took a first look today at making a Vedic Indian army. The infantry would be easy. But those chariots! Lots of color, banners, umbrellas, heroic archers in elaborate clothing and armor. Could be a real challenge.

15mm Harappan Army
This army represents the military forces of the Harappan civilization which flourished in the Indus River valley from about 3300 to 1300 B.C. There is little information on this army, other than a single entry in Armies of the Ancient Near East ( Stillman and Tallis, WRG, 1984). Please note that thi...
