Re: Early Tang - Silla Korean allies question ?
Salutations, gentlefolk ! An apology preceded by an explanation: I like to have printed army lists for my troops, possible morphs and likely opponents, note down elements 'in the lead pile', being painted, ready for action. I found that the best way to printout the Meshwesh lists without wasting pap...

If you want to printout that list, and click 'save page as HTML', open that in LibreOffice Writer, and ...

Re: Suggestions for My Next Project are sought
Salutations, FanatiChris, David, and other gentlefolk ! Most of the figures in both Sui/Tang and ECrusaders are Outpost's, acquired from Syr Hobbs' closeoutsale last summer, with Essex filling in the gaps and providing a plurality of the Chinese cavalry. At present, finishing up Middle Imp Romans, t...

Shooting, formations, artillery - Questions and thoughts
Salutations, gentlefolk ! In pre-gunpowder combat, a unit good in combat is likely to be a unit that puts the maximum number of men with sharp pointy objects into a given frontage. The drawback is that such a unit is easier to hit with missle weapons, and a casualty from bow or ballista more likely ...

Salutations, gentlefolk !
Painted Old Glory Early German warriors along Forged in Battle figures in bare metal.
This is the last *%^&*%&^* time I try to photograph figures not attached to bases or 'dop sticks'
Hints on photographing 'shiny bare metal figures' welcome
Dyspeptically yours, John

Rules organization and layout, thoughts
Salutations, gentlefolk ! I have a bunch of gamer friends. They have settled Catan, colonized Puerto Rico, terraformed Mars, and bid for the Camden & Amboy - but have never gamed Ancients with miniatures. How to get them started ??? So, a decade ago, I put together the 'Gelidis'* rules (which probab...

Read thru the rules question and answer forums, copied and pasted what seemed to be all relevant stough. Am in process of compiling an (In)Frequently Asked Questions .txt file. Would be happy to zap a copy to anyone who wants one.

Re: Blue Moon 15mm
Salutations, gentlefolk ! Good question. I tend to get my lead at conventions - if everything I want is where I can "see it, buy it, carry it home", why pay shipping ? Would have gotten some Blue Moon figs if dealer there stocked them (experimental funds) So have nothing really to say, just babbling...
