Quite a scene you've set, I can almost hear the lamentations of their women.

I do wonder sometimes if this is toy soldiers or your version of storyboarding for your next Hollywood production. Looking forward to the next episode of "The Saga of Sumer".

I also have this army and if I were going to try to add figures to it from another range I might try the Dark Ages Isarus range from Alternative Armies. https://www.alternative-armies.com/ They have some Byzantines that with a half decent paint job would, probably (I don't have any), fit well. No Me...

Visually appealing and practical during play, what's not to like.

Though it does look like it's a bit of a dust bowl, I'd be tempted to pack up and move to Babylon, better night life I'm sure.

Great work Mark. Are the wicker shields a painted effect or are the shields embossed with the finish? Cheers, God no, they come embossed for no extra charge! I don't think I'd have the patience to do it otherwise. I find there are limits to how much time I'm prepared to invest for mass army figures...
