Just downloaded those cards. They look amazing; well done!
Thanks, Joe! Well, judging from your nickname, I think you can appreciate the geography cards' title font- it's the same font of old TSR manuals' subsections :D :D

Re: Marathon via Zoom

Hi Rod, fantastic looking battle as usual! Marathon was the first battle we fought with the new rules when we returned to regular Triumph! gaming a few weeks ago, since it looked quite easy wrt army compositions (and terrain in particular). Our refights were standard 48-pts games, with Athens usuall...

Re: Terrain and troop type cards

Hi guys,
I've tried to attach the '.svg' files here, but it's not an allowed file type... But look, '.zip' apparently is. Let me know if it works!
PS - I've just done geography/unit recap cards for (pseudo-)Plataea at the moment, so that's what you'll find in the archive ATM :D

Re: Terrain and troop type cards

Markus - your terrain cards are very elegant and add colour to the setup phase of the game! I will certainly try to imitate your work  Thanks Maerk... I can send you the .svg files if you want to use the template. I prepare all my game aids with Inkscape, which is a 100% free, open-source Ado...

Terrain and troop type cards

Hi guys, I'm posting this just in case someone finds it useful. I've noticed that once you're familiar with a given army and its factors, you barely have to reference anything at all during a game. Which is great! Pre-battle setup however definitely requires to check tables etc... Of course WGC's te...

Wow! Just... wow. I've checked your posts in the Miniatures & Camps sections and they're all stellar. Your attention to detail is inspiring, and I really like the fact that you manage to put both 'History' and 'story' in your pieces. Great stuff! Thanks for sharing.

Re: Early Sumerians vs. Nomadic Amurru

Hi Texus Maximus, despite definitely not being an expert I've tried to think about what I'd do if I were the early Sumerian player. And the answer is in fact very simple: I'd wait until Gilgameš shows up, then shred the nomads to pieces. OK, seriously. This seems a really tough one. From what I can ...

Re: Video Battle

Thank you Rod, I think I'm catching up with the rules again! The most surprising change in 1.1 was distant combat. Maybe I need to play a pseudo-Plataea battle to really understand if/how they work differently from the legacy rules. Another surprising change is the very elegant way in which now pass...

Re: Video Battle

Greetings! I'm back to miniature wargaming after a long (involuntary) hiatus. And yes, after much pondering I deliberated that Triumph! is still my favourite ruleset, exactly as it was the last time I actually played it (v 0.6 or something like that). Rod's video battles are not only immensely fun t...
