Re: New Shooting Rules
Salutations, gentlefolk ! Noted the bad news for balistarii in the new rules. A - Artillery beating Elephants no longer leaves them shattered and dead; now only makes them recoil. B - Artillery doubling Horse Bow in open terrain makes them panic, no longer destroys them. (though a Panic move by Hors...

Re: New Shooting Rules
Salutations, gentlefolk ! May I suggest that you probably want to rewrite part 68.1 (top of left column, p.26). Besides not incorporating the new shooting rules, it also refers to "being shot at by... a stand of mounted troops" (also a relic of some earlier version ?) Would volunteer to take care of...

Smaller Triumph games, dumb question on
Salutations, gentlefolk !
Hath anyone ever tried playing Triumph with 40 or 36 points a side ? Your opinion on this variant ?
Yours, John

Re: Counsels of perfection ;-)
Excellent explanation, DK. I would have been perfectly happy with "Buck up, sissy pants." :) Y'know, Mr. Kontos, it ain't that I disagree with you. But we are Trying To Sell Stough To The Multitudes, and there's a lot of esoteric information that's folded into the rules and army lists - I mean, I s...

Re: Counsels of perfection ;-)
Salutations, gentlefolk ! OK, in the 'October 2017 Rules release summary of changes', in the middle of 'Minor rule changes', you had two lines about revaluing of Warriors and "army lists on Meshwesh have been modified". Now it was the case that I was bringing an Early German army to ye open tourney,...

Counsels of perfection ;-)
Salutations, gentlefolk ! Some minor suggestions that methinks you've thought of already... 1 - Please try to get new rules edition finished and uploaded in time for everyone to read at leisure, not 'on the ride to Lancaster'. Some confused people at Fall In there were. Meshwesh - 1 - Mayhaps to the...

The Friday night open at Fall In
Salutations, gentlefolk !
Less than a week to go!
Checking on the tournament rules:
one list for all rounds and opponents ?
other 'things we should know' ?
Flipping mental coins, which army to bring.
Hope everyone has a good and safe trip.
Yours, John

Re: Maurikian Byzantines
Salutations, again, Would note that the Byzantine 'army lists' have changed a good deal over past 25 years - the Early & Maurikian Byzantines of WRG 7th had large numbers of 'Regular A & B extra-heavy cavalry (horses with frontal metal armor) with lance, bow and shield' allowed, making them - in ter...

Re: Maurikian Byzantines
Salutations ! Well, I am accumulating the lead for that army myself (tho actually something of a Late Roman force, morphing and expanding.) with most of the figures coming from Essex, Old Glory or Outpost. Don't think you can go far wrong with any of these three (contrary opinions invited). Were you...
