Re: Plastic Soldier Company 15mm Plastic Ancients
I gather the Goths, Huns, and Sassanids are plastic remakes of the Lurkio metal ranges.

Re: First Edition of the Printed Book
Brief historical introductions à la DBA 3e would be appreciated.
Some lists could really do with some explication what they're supposed to cover. Old Saxon, Frisian, etc. and Strathclyde etc. would be good examples - just who are the "etc."?

Re: First Edition of the Printed Book
He must be referring to something fan-made, perhaps the list of armies at Fanaticus.
As for who the Jacquerie were (as opposed to where to find the army list: I have no trouble finding it in Meshwesh), the Wikipedia article has the basics.

Re: First Edition of the Printed Book
This might something were a poll (probably better on the FB page than here) could give some useful input. I don't expect I'd buy a set of printed lists myself - certainly not at $300 - and about the only advantage to them I see is guaranteed availability if WGC goes belly up and Meshwesh goes defunc...

Re: Camels
In another context Ibn Iyas does however describe camels with some sort of "arrangement for musketeers to shoot from" on their backs. Now whether this describes Moghul-style camel artillery, or just some sort of special saddle for mounted handgunners, I'm not sure - and neither was David Ayalon, who...

Re: Camels
When writing the above, I hadn't noted that the DBR lists also allow camel-guns to Mamluk Egyptians in 1517, saying they were used at the battle of Raydaniyah (aka Ridaniye, and sundry other variants). However, Phil seems have to changed his mind about this, because the overlapping DBMM list doesn't...

Re: Meshwesh Keywords and Search Terms
The Medieval Danish and Union of Kalmar, Viking, and Viking Raider lists ought have the "Scandinavian" keyword.

Re: Fantasy Triumph (Monsterpocalypse) at Fall In 2019
Do really artillery deserve to be "missile-equipped" for the purposes of annoying fliers? A trebuchet or medieval cannon would seem extremely ill-suited to targeting any flier more mobile than an anchored observation balloon. (Fantastic artillery could be more suited for aiming at moving targets of ...

Re: Medieval French
In their most famous outing at Crécy 1346, the Genoese crossbowmen fought without their pavises. But anyway, perhaps somewhat counterintuitively, having a pavise isn't sufficient for classification as Pavisiers - you're also supposed to have (a) front rank(s) with close combat weapons likes spears o...

Re: Rhoxolani cavalry
Is there, incidentally, any reason to associate the Solokha tomb with the Rhoxolani specifically? I note WP identifies it as "Scythian".
