Re: Meshwesh minor errors and typos
but what must be an error is that both have "bowmen and slingers" classed as Rabble with the Supporting Bowmen battle card. Not sure what you're saying? How is that an error? Although now I'm wondering if we never said that Rabble could be legally Supporting Bowmen -- most rabble are not bowmen at ...

Re: Meshwesh minor errors and typos
The Timurid list has it's prepared defenses defined as "(only White Sheep) Wagon laager to protect artillery", which looks like a copy-paste error or similar. I'm not sure why there's both an Andalusian Invasions AD 710-764 list and an Early Andalusian AD 711-764 one, but what must be an error is th...

Re: Meshwesh minor errors and typos
The Ottoman Empire list has "Djanazan" - should be "Djanbazan".
Also, you may want to retain this as an established wargamerism, but "Iayalars" is technically pleonastic - in Turkish it's one yaya "footman, pedestrian", many yayalar.

Re: Nordic Bronze Age Army List?
Lastly, an appeal to the gamer's sense of utility and appreciation of "cool-looking" figures....I contend a historical purpose must be found for these 15mm figures by Mark Copplestone: https://www.copplestonecastings.co.uk/list.php?cat=18&sub=68&page=1 I saw a DBMM Early Northern Barbarian, Europea...

Re: Meshwesh minor errors and typos
The Early Egyptian list has a line with skirmishers defined as "Javelinmen paired with quiver-carriers", which sounds more like Light Foot. The Franco-Scottish list has "Voulgier", should be pl "Voulgiers". Not an error, I guess, but the name "Later Sicilio-Norman" is passing strange - there's littl...

Re: Meshwesh minor errors and typos
The St. George's Night Uprising list has Swedish allies drawn from the Prussian list: I assume this is an error of some kind. In the Yuan lists, "Mengkuchun" are still mentioned in the description for the Horse Bow or Bad Horse line. They should be "Menggu jun (Mongol army)" like in other lines. Als...

Re: Late Teutonic Order
What I really need is some descriptions of battle interactions between these dudes and other cavalry who I know the ratings for (Horsebow, Knights, Elite Cavalry). In English, sadly. Such seem to be in short supply in any language, unfortunately. Frankly, I've not actually even seen clear evidence ...

Re: Late Teutonic Order
I think it would make a lot of sense to class the Order's mounted crossbowmen and czeladz the same, irrespective of which specific type is decided on.

Re: Late Teutonic Order
Right now I'm reading Alexander Querengässer's Der Deutsche Orden im Dreizehnjährigen Krieg 1454-1466 . For the Bohemians there's a good deal of info in Uwe Tresp's Söldner aus Böhmen . In English, there's a chapter on the 13YW in William Urban's The Last Years of the Teutonic Knights , though he's ...

Late Teutonic Order
I've been reading about the Thirteen Years' War (1454-1466), and reflecting that existing army lists tend to treat the period poorly* - mostly they just extend lists based on the 13th and 14th centuries well beyond the period when Teutonic armies actually looked like that. So I thought I'd give a wh...
