My wife and I will play doubles.
Loanwarrior -- sorry, I don't know who you are? (at a guess, you might be William Robinson or Tim Hladon -- the other two candidates for playing Grand Triumph doubles with their wife have names I recognize on this forum)

Re: TRIUMPH! Events at Historicon 2019!

There is some discussion on Fbook of the possibility of running a Grand Triumph Doubles tournament, possibly on Saturday. We have enough interest that the event will probably succeed, but we'd like to gauge an approximation of how many teams we would expect. People who are solidly interested, please...

Re: TRIUMPH! Events at Historicon 2019!

David, are you going to publish these scenarios like you did with "The Embattled Isle"? In the fullness of time, we will have on the order of five or six scenario books. They were nearly complete four or five years ago; they're waiting on the publication of the Triumph print rules before we have ti...

Is it just me, or do all the players look more polite than those at conventions South of the Border? :)

Re: Rabble in Hoplite Armies

Thanks DK. That is exactly the picture I was thinking about in the Osprey book after reading your first reply. Excellent. I think the only point of disagreement is a belief on my part that people commonly use a practical 'anchoring' technique in their thinking. For gamers it is anchoring from one g...

Re: Rabble in Hoplite Armies

Looks perfect for converting that spear chucking light infantry into a dude with a rock :) Right. Chop off the spear, add some irregular blobs of gel-style crazy glue, let dry completely, prime and paint. I was doing this a few months ago for the Early Swiss "Lost Boys" (enfants perdus) who are roc...

Re: Rabble in Hoplite Armies

I'm going back to your original question, Bill. I'm organizing my legacy 15mm hoplite armies for Triumph! (and at the same time organizing 28mm Vendel Classical Greeks for Triumph! Armies) and have a question about the minimum required rabble troops. First, in trying to understand the Rabble categor...

Re: Rabble in Hoplite Armies

DK, You certainly are free not to agree with me. I'm just stuck in the middle of getting into this side of the hobby right when everything started changing. The changes aren't that radical either compared to other periods and rule sets, they just require a little bit of work (which is not unpleasan...

TRIUMPH! Events at Historicon 2019!

Greetings, fellow travelers. Here is the tentative schedule of events for Historicon 2019. If you want to run a Triumph! event, please get in touch with us -- Historicon has a large enough population of Triumph! players that in previous years we've had no trouble running more than one event in a sin...
