Hengist and Horsa (The Jutes)
Wanted to show off my latest Triumph! army, featuring the Jutes of Hengist and Horsa fame, painted by Paul Potter. The list is Old Saxon and this represents the first wave of Jutish and Saxon settlers to Kent circa 447 AD who contested in a series of battles with the Sub-Roman Brit Vortimer, son of ...

Question Regarding Early Serbian or Croatian list
Two quick questions regarding the Early Serbian or Croatian list. The list has a mandatory Bow Levy (i.e. Bow Levy 1-7), but there is also a notation "Only Serbian" Am I correct in assuming that if I'm fielding Early Croatians I don't have to field a Bow Levy element? And do the 1-3 "Knights or Hors...

Re: Asymmetrical Battles
I agree it probably doesn't translate well to a pitched battle at the 60K-sized army level, but the twist with a Flower War scenario isn't that you're trying to represent soldiers distracted from the fighting by opportunities to loot or pillage, etc. From what I've read, Flower Wars were fairly well...

Yi Dynasty (Joseon) Koreans
I invite the community to follow my first Triumph painting project, a Yi Dynasty (Joseon) Korean army using the relatively new Essex 15mm Late 16th C. Korean range. Apologies in advance for what will inevitably be a long drawn out project. Blogsite ink at: https://fanatichris.wordpress.com/2020/08/0...

Re: Asymmetrical Battles
Asymmetrical battles would be typical of campaign-style gaming, where armies carry losses from preceding battles, can add allies, and/or recruit up loses between battles, depending on how much territory you still controlled. You can also end up with slightly asymmetrical armies through several of th...

Re: Nepalese
I found one obscure source online that suggested Medieval Nepalese kings/princes (and there were 27 of them at one point) had standing forces of elephant riders, horse riders and footmen, but when the home turf was threatened, that most of their army would be comprised of a feudal mobilization of al...

Picowar 3mm Ancients
So anyone interested in doing Triumph with elements using figures at 1:1 scale, take note. Picowar has released its first range of 3mm ancients...described as Germanic, but at that scale and with mostly round shields, could cover many army types. Check them out at http://theminiaturespage.com/news/?...

Re: Plastic Soldier Company 15mm Plastic Ancients
More news from PSC. They have apparently licensed and will be reintroducing the much loved Corvus Belli ranges of 15mm ancients in both plastic and eventually metal according to their posting at TMP.
