Re: Rules for sieges?
Have there been any discussions about including rules for sieges? Timescale and force interaction are totally different from field battles. Battlefield for assaults would be absolutely scenario dependent; battle"field" for sieges would be completely scenario independent. Army lists would be totally...

Re: Probably incorrect references in Meshwesh battle cards
I found this text In the Meshwesh battle card "Pack Train and Herds": In addition, the army’s camp is deployed when its last troops are deployed (27.2.d or 27.2.e, depending upon whether the player is the disadvantaged player or not), not at the usual time (27.2.a or 27.2.b). In the Triumph! 1.1 ru...

Re: Front contact priority
I agree. But what about my example? Isn't that a badly contra-historical result, that troops attacking front-and-flank have worse result, than attacking flank only? :) Not as much as you think. In your mind you want the Knights to be the main combatant. So why are you throwing Bow Levy into the fro...

Re: Front contact priority
In the game, a flank or rear attack is a -1 to the defender, which is the same penalty as an overlap. It would seem to me that being attacked in the flank or rear would be a bit more severe than a frontal overlap situation. Did the design team ever consider a -2 modifier for being attacked in the f...

Re: Front contact priority
Hello! Could you explain, why a stand, that is attacked from both front and flank, must fight with front stand? I find it illogical. For example, the Bow Levy attack Elite Foot from the front and Knights from flank. In my opinion, Bow Levy just irritate Elite Foot, while Knights strike the main blo...

Re: Post Mongol Russian
Thank you, Delphin. That's exactly the sort of thing we need. I'll look at it again in a week or so when I've finished grading for the semester. I've read through it once, and the material seems to encapsulate two of the main issues that create problems for those making army lists; one positive and ...

Re: Conquistadors army?
Are you planning to add a conquistadors army list? Probably not. There are several reasons why those interactions don't fit the model for Triumph. The time period is too late. Those lists would be appropriate for inclusion in Renaissance Triumph, if and when we ever create such a thing (it isn't on...

Re: Post Mongol Russian
In the Post-Mongol Russian army list, the main part of army was represented by 1-2 Elite Cavalry and 4-8 Horse Bow. It's ok forthe 15th century but really strange for the 14th and especially 13th century. Mass transition from spear to bow and saber is a part of orientalization, which occurred in th...
