Re: WOTR Pikemen and Scottish allies

Mike Ingram authored a 2019 book on the battle. It has an order of battle and detailed maps reflecting the latest archeology. I bought as per the recommendations of the Society of Ancient discussions. In short at the left of the line, The Vanward, are French and Scots. The details are confusing. He ...

Re: Orcs as Warband

Just checking the minimum numbers above, you had 4 skirmishers. That's 12 points you appear to have reallocated to warband. That is certainly a change in agression levels for an army. I'm working with multiple armies for a Grand Triumph! army so some good stuff to think about there.

Re: Orcs as Warband

Thanks David. Just what I was looking for, except that I’d headed down the skirmisher/rabble path so heavily, I’m short on warbands. But as you say, it’s whatever we want in the end. It’s the warbands vs. elite dwarves that I am most concerned about in terms of play balance. Hordes are so immobile, ...

Re: Orcs as Warband

David, Everything is here in the Forum. LOTR Army Lists for TRIUMPH! is the title of the discussion where I am quoting you from. One is an earlier post and the other a later one. I don't think I have any draft army lists from you via email, only what is from that discussion here on the Forum. I am a...
