Re: Rohirrim in Triumph!
Thank you David. Next time I do a Donnington Miniatures order I will get some suitable knights to replace the Horse Bow unit I used for the Bulgarians. At the moment, I have one Horse Bow unit with 10 Knight units. My gut feeling is to go for another unit of Knights. At Pelennor Field the army is t...

Re: Rohirrim in Triumph!
Straight-up Knights with just a smidgey of Horsebow. When I base the Knights, I put one bow figure per stand, but that's because I'm using GW plastic Rohirrim, and there are 5 poses, 2 with bow, so I sorta have to. The army list is mostly Knights (with the mid-battle dismounting battle card, to refl...

Re: Khurasan 15mm West Sudanese Range
Exactly when is the Triumph time-frame supposed to end, BTW? Meshwesh currently has two lists starting later than AD 1502 (League of Cambrai Spanish and Neo-Inca). That's complicated by the fact that some of us are interested in doing Renaissance Triumph. Don't look for it for several years, if it ...

Re: Almoravid camels
(Tangentially, the new proposal makes them rather similar in effect to DBMM Camelry (S), who mostly inflict and receive the same combat outcomes as Knights, but have combat factors of one less and treat dunes and oasis as good going.) Never played DBMM (or DBM, for that matter). I'm distressed to h...

Historicon 2018 Results
Historicon 2018 was a big success, if exhausting. First, a major thank-you to Spencer Ginder and Scott Kastler for their help in running the Walk-up Demos all weekend. I'll leave Rod and DS to report on their events. Hastings was run twice and looked brilliant, and was full both times; same for Cyno...

Re: Almoravid camels
Duncan Head suggests that there'd be little difference between a Lamtuna or Mafusa (which tribes formed the core of the Almoravid movement) camelman and a Tuareg one - one veiled man charging on a camel is much like another - so classification-wise these guys are probably Knights. The alternative i...

Re: Meshwesh minor errors and typos
In the Classical Indian list, there appears to be a stray colon in the definition of the last troop type: ": Wild tribe bowmen". The master text says "(Maurya Empire only): Wild tribe bowmen" It looks like the program separates out the conditions "(Maurya Empire only)" from the troop description, a...

Re: Meshwesh minor errors and typos
The Late Imperial Roman East list has: Maneuver Rating 2 Normally 4 Under Constantine 324-337 2 Under Constantius 338-361 AD The Constantius line seems a little superfluous, so I expect either it or the Normally line should have a different number. I'm guessing it should be a 3 normally. I'll look....

Thx, Andreas, I'll check these out and fix.Andreas Johansson wrote:In the Classical Indian list, there appears to be a stray colon in the definition of the last troop type: ": Wild tribe bowmen".
In the Western Hunnic list, there appears to be something wrong with the Sciri allies: "No troop options entered"
