Re: Time of conforming

Thanks for the clarification on 42.2a/b/c... I think I can see why the clauses needed now. Basically there are two different "conforms" going on [...] They both use the verb "conform", but it isn't really quite the same thing going on. Actually, the only procedure called 'conforming' in the rules is...

Re: Aligning in difficult terrain

Slight correction -- if only one of the Heavy Foot was-or-moved-into difficult terrain, then the total cost would be 2 CP. One for the guys outside difficult terrain, and one for the dude inside. Hmmm, that's an important point, because the current rule seems at first reading to imply this would co...

Re: Time of conforming

If a stand has room to fall back in its original position, but then after conforming will have no room to fall back... then it does not conform. Hmmm... To my eyes, 44.2 seems currently to say exactly the opposite: "A stand must conform [...] if, after conforming, the stand would be subject to bein...

Enemy destroyed by falling back elements

Article 66.3 lists the cases in which an enemy stand contacted by a falling back element is destroyed. In this case, is the falling back elements still itself destroyed as per 66.2b on contacting, or does it complete the falling back?

Re: Time of conforming

I have a couple of questions too: Article 42.1 - single elements contacted by groups conform "immediately", so I think it means during the enemy's movement phase, is this correct? Article 42.2 (a, b and c) - I think I understand them, but I'm not totally sure... Could you provide a couple of example...

On ZOCs and their effects

Article 39.2 says: "Each stand has a rectangular region extending directly out from its front edge to a distance of 1 base width (2 MU) or until the point where it is blocked, whichever is less". Is this what was once called the 'rolling carpet interpretation'? Article 40.5d says: "It may make any o...

Re: Passing Through

Another passing through- related question: article 33.4 says "In all other circumstances, a stand making a tactical move may not pass through any part of a friendly stand.". Does this mean that 'closing the door' or performing any other wheel by elements in the middle of a linear (side-by-side) grou...

Passing Through

Is there a conflict between article 67.3 ("Voluntary single stand moves may pass through friendly stands within the same restrictions above. Group moves passing through friends are only possible if the moving group is entirely composed of skirmishers.") and article 33, in particular articles 33.2 an...
