Re: 15mm Sumerians

Here are some terrain items for the battlefield. IMG_0323.jpg In the first picture, on the left, is a farmer plowing a field. The farmer is a Blue Moon native villager with a sheepskin kilt added. His simple plow, built from wire and Green Stuff and based on depictions of ancient Egyptian plows, is ...

Re: Bronze Age Zagros Highlanders

This army represents the highland warriors of Gutium and Lullubi in the early Bronze Age. They inhabited the Zagros mountains east of Babylonia and north of Sumer. The language they spoke is almost entirely unknown; the only surviving words are a list of names in the Sumerian Kings list from early i...

Re: 15mm Sumerians

Six stands of skirmishers and two rabble now have basic paint jobs. These figures are easy to paint; clean castings with good definition. And almost no equipment. I tried painting the javelins as having reed shafts but I am not quite happy with the effect. Color suggestions are welcome. It took me a...

Re: 15mm Sumerians

The reed house is from Acheson Creations. It is from their native american or Indian collection, I dont recall the exact terms. I took two grooved wooden dowels from the craft store, wrapped twine around them, shaved down the corners of the building, and super glued them in place. It doesnt look exa...

15mm Sumerians

My Early Sumerian army is finally on the painting table. The army has 11 stands of bow levy, two rabble, six skirmishers (slingers), and one stand of raiders representing the general and his best troops. So twenty stands worth 48 points. All the figures are by Eureka. http://i764.photobucket.com/alb...

Alternative to Photobucket

Can anyone suggest an alternate way to post photos here, other than Photobucket? I have some photos of my latest army that I would like to post, but I can't seem to make Photobucket work. Plus all the photos show up with a big ugly Photobucket watermark on them. I am assuming I need to upload the ph...
