I have finished enough stands that can pass for an Early Egyptian army. I went with six stands of Raiders instead of eight of Heavy Foot. These “”Menfat” shock troops will probably spend a lot of time fighting Libyans and Nubians in rough terrain, so being in open order and moving faster will help. ...

The hippo and crocodile are soft plastic toys from two seperate packs of “Good Luck Minis” made by Safari Limited. Both packs have other minis that are useful (the lion is a nice model). The hippo was just cut in half - no painting required. The crocodile needed a simple repaint. The canoe and paddl...

Minwax Polyshades Dip Question

I use Minwax Polyshades stain (Tudor) on my painted miniatures to get a shading effect. I have been brushing it on after right after painting them with acrylic paints. Has any one tried spraying the miniatures with clear polyurethane sealer after painting and THEN applying the Minwax Polyshades? It ...

The flocking is Gale Force Nine static grass, “Arid”.

The base texture is Liquitex basics coarse texture medium. The texture was dry brushed Earth Brown, the Coffee, then Linen. I use Anitas All-Purpose Acrylic paints.
