Oasis

This oasis is designed around a piece by Foxhole Terrain that was painted olive green then had blue paint applied with a wet sponge. The palm trees are from Hobby Lobby and also China. They were glued/pinned to wooden disks in groups. The bases were done just like the dunes in the background - coars...

Re: 15mm Amorites

I probably took me 10 minutes per figure. Cutting and filing off the Zulu-style ankle fringe on all the Blue Moon figures was the most tedious part. I got fast at adding beards to the figures and can now do one in 2-3 minutes. So, total time spent converting was about ten hours.

Dunes

These dunes were made from a set of plastic moulded dunes sold by ”Amera”. The mouldings were glued to pieces of MDF to give them some weight and stability. I used Liquitex coarse texture gel to cover it. I have included a photo of the small dune after this step. The dunes were then painted earth br...

Re: Have you tried a Bronze Age / Bilical era game yet?

Not yet, but I am steadily working on getting the first two armies listed on Meshwesh (Sumerians and Nomadic Amurru) ready for action. It is slow going because I didn't have any troops I can convert from other game systems. I am interested to see how battles between mobs of bow levy, light foot, and...

15mm Amorite Camp

“The MAR.TU who know no grain.... The MAR.TU who know no house nor town, the boors of the mountains.... The MAR.TU who digs up truffles... who does not bend his knees (to cultivate the land), who eats raw meat, who has no house during his lifetime, who is not buried after death.”

Re: 15mm Amorites

All the conversions for this army are done; here are six stands of Rabble ready for painting. The miniatures are all Old Glory figures from their Amorite and Canaanite packs. The cast spears were all cut away and replaced with .03 inch styrene rod. Helmets, hats, beards, crossbelts, and other detail...

15mm Amorites

My Amorite/Amurru army in various states of completion. This army has five Light Foot, six Rabble, three Skirmishers, and three Archers. The Light Foot are Blue Moon native figures that I am converting. They are bigger than most normal 15mm figures, which is good for this army because they were repu...

Re: Midianite Arab Camp 15mm

Additional dry-brushing has been done with a desert sand color. The stone wall on the edge of the temple was dry-brushed again with a sand-white mixture. The three people for the camp are complete except for a coat of matte finish. The Timna valley has been mined for copper since pre-history, so I t...
