Re: Marian Roman Army in 15mm

The buildings are from War and Empire. They are cast in resin and good quality with no flash or pitting. The pack comes with six buildings.

Re: Marian Roman Army in 15mm

I created some modular village terrain for my Roman and Spartacus armies. All the main pieces - buildings, walls, and fields - are movable so they can be shifted out of the way when troops are moved into the village. It also allows the village to be as small as 4" square by leaving off everything ex...

Marian Roman Army in 15mm

This Marian Roman Army is an adaption of a DBA Army that I painted in 2008 while in Baghdad. There are nine stands of Elite Foot, including a command stand. The Triumph! army list only allows eight stands, so there is an extra. The two stands of Skirmishers are also from 2008. I had to create two st...

Re: Making Hills

About stability of miniatures on the hills - there is no problem with 20mm or deeper bases. It is possible to get 15mm deep bases to tip over if they are placed at just the wrong angle over one of the edges. If I were doing them again, I might try to cut or sand them a little shallower.

Making Hills

This hill is part of a set of six I made for Triumph. A stand of Romans is on top to show the scale. http://i764.photobucket.com/albums/xx281/ppecena/20180714_130732.jpg Here is the basic process used: 1. Buy MDF board at your local home improvement store and foamcore at the hobby shop. 2. Use a jig...

Unpainted Spartacus Army in 15mm

I have 90 figures left over from my recent Spartacus army build. This should be more than enough for a complete Spartacus Army. These are on ebay now with a starting bid of $50 plus shipping (Priority Mail flat rate box in the US). Most are War and Empire/Forged in Battle figures and include: Heavy ...

Re: Spartacus Army in 15mm

http://i764.photobucket.com/albums/xx281/ppecena/20180723_183139-1_1532389168539_resized.jpg My first draft for a camp on Mount Vesuvius (see earlier post) had one big flaw...the base was too deep for Triumph!(!) So I cut away the back quarter of the camp and put some of the camp followers back in ...

These are almost entirely War and Empire figures, with a few Old Glory Marian Romans (with the plumes cut off). There are a few head swaps using the ex...
